Austrevene

The battle of Austrevene Hill was fought between elves and humans at the Nurio Forest in 748. The Austrev humans had cut deeply into the forest. The Ellenina elves, powerful wizards repelled the loggers. Then defeated the Austrev warriors. The hills are blanketed by deep forests. The forests lead to a mountain pass so thick that a guide is needed to navigate the pass. The Ellenina patrol these forests for terrors and intruders. They don't attack on sight, but will shadow a party throughout the forest to gauge their intent before judging the party. Upon the hill lie a mighty family of humans. The Besellru laid claim to the area around the Austrevene Hill in 532. The city that followed grew strong and prideful. They dominated the landscape, with the exception of the Nurio Forest.

Cities

Balaejin

Home to the Ongun Forest, the elven Druid conclave lie within the forest. They give aid to elf and dwarf. A branch of elves that had splintered from the Militaristic, in seek of nature. The Nut has become a blessing for their brothers in arms, for their healing spells and abilities to make the Forest an weapon against their protagonists. From them sprung elven rangers and even a group of dwarves. Long they had lived within the Butte, but found life in the great open to be ideal.

Like the Militaristic Academies, the Druid and rangers make up troops that commit to sweeps for enemies. The hundreds of miles of terrain make the task near impossible. Balaejin is a town of nearly 12,000 they move in large groups around the area. Considered holy by the Druids, as the Nut shown itself near a natural spring in the grove.

Thurnilor

One of the many outposts scattered among the Tumunzur Mountains. It is the seat of Arcane might, the Mage Academies send their young pupils to the locale to be trained. Life is harsh, for they train from daybreak to nightfall. Relentlessly their drill masters push them beyond their limits. Once the pupils have graduated they are placed on platoons. Or other Military regiments.

Patrols

A. An increasing number of orcs and goblins have been spotted near the closed tunnels of Nulagz. The basis for this patrol is to Search and Confirm. Once the number and confirmation of the monstrous humanoids has been secured the squad is to return or exterminate the infiltraters.
B. Recon must be gathered from the Buttes to the Fort and the Strongholds. These missions are only given to the class from the scout school.
C. Guised as escorts to the populace, these warriors make contact with recon and search teams. They are shock troops that grant aid to there own as well as provide security for merchants, farmers, or caravans leaving the Butte. Their number can range from 5 - 25 depending on the mission. The three types of patrols are handled by first year academy students as infantry. To earn the next step into the Military, the young students must pass 20 missions or details.

Tumunzur Buttes

The Tumunzur Butte is a peak upon the Tumunzur Mountain Range. The buttes height si such that clouds are always prevalent. The rocky butte has smatterings of trees that make it very difficult for invaders. In recent history the Hunidans attempted to conquer the area, but the elven and dwarved soldiers working together turned the invaders away. The sheer might of the force of the Hunidans invaders caused much strife. Thousands of elves and dwarves died in the war. Monstrous hordes now think the people of the Butte as being ripe for destruction.

The Lufnestan elves roam the icy cold regions of the buttes from Beluftan Fort, to the Dorthik Stronghold where dwarven and elven warriors work in tandem to patrol the areas for Monsters. Due to the assault from the Hunidans, entire cities and towns were raised to the ground. Only epic magic and superior arms gave the humanoids an advantage over the humans. As a consequence the elves became more nomadic in nature. The dwarves mainly stay within the buttes, but now some elves have made homes within the butte itself, where as before they lived nearer to the ranges.
At the base of the Mountain, nearly 9,000 feet from the butte lies the most powerful stronghold in Scamoor. Abilthukt Tower built in consort by dwarf and elf, is a monument standing nearly 120 feet tall. The tower is opalescent, no doors exist from the outside, the tower stands ominously empty.

Warfare

The populace stays prepared for the possibility of invasion. In the last 500 years the people of the Tumunzur Butte have thwarted human, orc, goblin, and necromantic invaders. Young elves and dwarves drill every day within the Academies. Malkinilian is where warriors learn the trade of combat, Nalukbar houses all the humanoids who can become mages, while the Aurcilen is where those brought up in the wilderness learn to become scouts.
