Tumunzur Buttes

The Tumunzur Butte is a peak upon the Tumunzur Mountain Range. The buttes height si such that clouds are always prevalent. The rocky butte has smatterings of trees that make it very difficult for invaders. In recent history the Hunidans attempted to conquer the area, but the elven and dwarved soldiers working together turned the invaders away. The sheer might of the force of the Hunidans invaders caused much strife. Thousands of elves and dwarves died in the war. Monstrous hordes now think the people of the Butte as being ripe for destruction.

The Lufnestan elves roam the icy cold regions of the buttes from Beluftan Fort, to the Dorthik Stronghold where dwarven and elven warriors work in tandem to patrol the areas for Monsters. Due to the assault from the Hunidans, entire cities and towns were raised to the ground. Only epic magic and superior arms gave the humanoids an advantage over the humans. As a consequence the elves became more nomadic in nature. The dwarves mainly stay within the buttes, but now some elves have made homes within the butte itself, where as before they lived nearer to the ranges.
At the base of the Mountain, nearly 9,000 feet from the butte lies the most powerful stronghold in Scamoor. Abilthukt Tower built in consort by dwarf and elf, is a monument standing nearly 120 feet tall. The tower is opalescent, no doors exist from the outside, the tower stands ominously empty.

Warfare

The populace stays prepared for the possibility of invasion. In the last 500 years the people of the Tumunzur Butte have thwarted human, orc, goblin, and necromantic invaders. Young elves and dwarves drill every day within the Academies. Malkinilian is where warriors learn the trade of combat, Nalukbar houses all the humanoids who can become mages, while the Aurcilen is where those brought up in the wilderness learn to become scouts.
